The Chippendale chair. Named after furniture maker Thomas Chippendale. We don’t think he had anything to do with the likewise-named male revue.
Created in the 1960s, the unconventionally shaped “ball chair” was intended to be a cozy and calm atmosphere, providing quiet from noise and allowing the user to turn on its axis to view the “outside world.” Pretty mod, daddy-o!
Ah, the bean bag chair. What would the 70s have been without them? Oh, that’s right! Better! Seriously though, if you are over the age of 12, you should never sit in a bean bag chair. For so many reasons.
Abe Lincoln and Captian James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise have one thing in common: taste in chairs. Impressive, but they don’t look too comfortable.

But the scariest trick of all was to come when we were all greeted at our front door by a sinister looking character that sensed our presence and said “hello” in a creepy fashion befitting the scary season. Cries of “What the…?!” and “Holy @*#t!” were heard throughout the morning as each person trickled in to begin their day and had the “oh-my-stars” scared out of them. Who does that?! Our CEO Ethan Cohen’s personal grim reaper does
The original name of the building is Carnegie Hall (no relation to New York City's Carnegie Hall) and when it was built, it was considered a skyscraper. A 12-story skyscraper. In an era where skyscrapers routinely go 40, 50, 60+ stories high, it’s hard to believe that our modest building was once one of the city’s tallest! The building’s architectural style is considered renaissance revival, or "Neo-Renaissance," and is faced in red brick.
Other notable past tenants of our building include: WHK Radio (the first licensed radio station in Ohio, and one of the first 10 nationwide), The Cleveland Recording Company, (Cleveland's first professional recording studio --
To think that the Polka King once wandered our hallways just makes us want to take accordion lessons again!
