Application Developer/Programmer

About the Opportunity:

Easy2 Technologies is looking for a Application Developer to join our small, but talented group of programmers to help build out the next generation of our core SaaS product. Our team is highly interactive with lively discussions, frequent pairing, and animated white-boarding. All team members are expected to enhance existing applications and develop new applications. From the top down, Easy2 strongly encourages continuous improvement of development skills through pair programming, allowed time to learn new technologies, access to educational media, and other developmental resources. We follow an Agile development process and adhere to many of the coding best practices such as: TDD, continuous integration, and pair programming. One of our developers favorite things are Fridays where they get to work on their own projects — our version of 20% time.

Experience:

Being part of a cross functional team requires a wide skill set. We primarily use Microsoft technologies. Our current applications range in technologies from Classic ASP to MVC3 with Mongo and SQL Server databases (don’t worry, no new development is done in Classic ASP). Since one of Easy2’s primary functions is aiding in product marketing we work to make our applications have a great look and feel. This requires all team members to be proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus (TDD, Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, etc.)

Business Intelligence Analyst

We are looking for a team-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst with a lean startup mindset who will create and manage business metrics to support the analytical needs of our clients to shape the strategic direction of Easy2, a provider of interactive content that connects manufacturers, retailers and shoppers.

We are seeking professionals with either a Junior (2-4 years experience) or Senior (6-10 years experience) level. Compensation is commensurate with your experience. The position is located in Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical

• Learn and understand Easy2’s business and proprietary application development tools in order to communicate effectively with eCommerce decision makers on goals and solutions.

Analytics

• Have strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Constantly monitor, analyze and take constructive action based on the performance of Easy2’s programs and compare them cross-platform and to industry-level knowledge.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.

Teamwork

• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams to drive actionable metrics for our development and client teams.
• Drive and challenge business units on assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
• Work independently with users to define concepts and prioritize company needs

Communications

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, clients, and subject matter experts.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business goals, business scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
• Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.

Other

• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

Qualifications:

• B.S. / B.A. in related field.
• Experience working with eCommerce decision makers
• Strong communication skills.
• Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills
• Knowledge of Internet technology and Internet marketing principles
• Strong working knowledge with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Experience with database analytics and tools
• Highly consultative and solutions-oriented.
